Each member contributes extensive academic expertise and real-world experience in psychology, counselling, leadership, and evidence-based mental training.
Together, they support the continuous development of the Nordic Mindset methodology — ensuring it remains rooted in science, ethics, and measurable human transformation.
Søren Lynge
Founder, Nordic Mindset
Short Bio:
Søren Lynge is a Danish pioneer in mindset training and mental resilience, with over 30 years of experience guiding individuals and organisations to overcome limiting thought and behaviour patterns. He has delivered more than 4,700 lectures and authored several bestselling books, integrating evidence-based tools from positive psychology and cognitive development into practical, results-driven applications. As founder of Nordic Mindset and creator of the Lyngemetoden training system, he leads the design and implementation of mindset-training programmes used across municipalities, companies, and educational institutions throughout Denmark and internationally.

Britta Tønnies
Chief Psychologist, Nordic Mindset
Short Bio:
Britta Tønnies is an authorised clinical psychologist (Cand.psych.Aut., Aarhus University 2009) with deep expertise in eating disorders, self-harm, anxiety, and depression. She brings specialist training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy, combined with more than a decade of clinical practice. A member of the Danish Psychological Association and the Danish Society for Eating Disorders, Britta also serves as Chief Psychologist at Nordic Mindset, where she helps integrate rigorous clinical methods into mindset training and education.

Kim Madsen
Director of Global Implementation & Development, Nordic Mindset
Short Bio:
Kim Madsen is a Danish expert in mindset and mental health with more than three decades of international experience. Since 1994, he has delivered live lectures to over one million business owners in more than 50 countries. Author of How to Create Your Own Success (2006), he combines business psychology with human development. In 2022, his life was portrayed in the documentary Believer, premiered nationwide in Denmark. As Director of Global Implementation and Development at Nordic Mindset, Kim brings strategic leadership and global outreach to mindset education. He is also a Rotarian, philanthropist, and founder of the HelpAfrica Foundation and Rotary Club Benahavis International in Spain.

María T. Naranjo Navarro
Licensed Psychologist, Spain
Short Bio:
María T. Naranjo Navarro is a licensed psychologist from the University of Málaga, specialised in mental health training, leadership, and suicide prevention. With over 25 years of experience across Europe, she has trained more than 7,000 professionals in the UK, the Netherlands, and Spain. Founder of The Mind’s Well Recovery College in Scotland, she is also a member of the Psychological Intervention Group for Crisis and Disasters. Her work integrates evidence-based therapy, education, and public health initiatives focused on trauma, addiction, and social inclusion.

Sam Emuria Akoit
Director of Training & Mentorship Programs, Hecami Foundation (Uganda)
Short Bio:
Sam Emuria Akoit is a Ugandan mental health specialist with a background in public health, clinical psychology, and psychiatry. He serves as Director of Training and Mentorship Programs at Hecami Foundation, where he leads mental-health initiatives promoting awareness and capacity-building. Sam has worked with the Ministry of Health on national programs, served as Head of the Mental Health Department at Mengo Hospital, and directed Gramila Mental Health Services. He holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Makerere University and is a member of the Uganda Association of Clinical Psychologists and the Uganda Psychiatric Association.

Evelyn Connie Kharono
Vice President, Uganda Counselling Association
Short Bio:
Evelyn Connie Kharono is a Ugandan counselling psychologist and Vice President of the Uganda Counselling Association. She holds a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology from Bugema University and a Bachelor of Education from Makerere University, where she provides psychological counselling to students and staff. Evelyn has led research on improving mental-health support for uniformed professionals in Uganda and mentors peer counsellors to expand awareness and access to support. Currently completing certification as a Nordic Mindset Mentor, she integrates mindset-training tools into her counselling practice to strengthen resilience and emotional well-being.
